Welcome to fall! I’m excited to announce the revival of the Diverse Detective Fiction Month challenge for October 2019. As a mystery/crime fiction fan, I’m passionate about exploring works by marginalized authors and discovering diverse detectives. Join me in this challenge and add some amazing new books to your shelves!
The rules are simple: read at least one diverse detective story and post a review on your blog/ Goodreads/ Instagram between October 1st and October 31st 2019. Feel free to share your thoughts on Twitter using the hashtag #DiverseDetectives. To count towards the challenge, the book must involve a detective of some sort, be written by a marginalized author, and involve a marginalized detective.
Sign-ups are open until October 15th – simply leave a comment with your email address to join. Once you’ve reviewed a work of diverse detective fiction, leave a comment with the link under this page to be eligible for the giveaway. One lucky person will win one book of diverse detective fiction from The Book Depository (€15 max, by a marginalized author). The giveaway is international, so I’ll send wherever The Book Depository delivers!
Happy reading!
